Description
If your BMW diesel engine suffers from EGR system issues -such as cracked pipes, failing coolers, or malfunctioning EGR thermostats -this complete EGR Valve & Cooler Kit provides a reliable solution. Specifically designed for diesel models, the kit removes the entire EGR system, including the valve, cooler, and connecting pipe. As a result, it eliminates common failure points, which in turn boosts engine reliability and improves efficiency. Consequently, you will notice better throttle response, reduced carbon build-up, and optimized airflow throughout your engine.
Additionally, this kit installs cleanly and efficiently. You don’t need to cut or modify the coolant system. The included water stop blanks—a silicone cap and a quick-connect plug—allow you to remove the cooler quickly and easily. Moreover, the aluminum EGR bypass pipe features a thick base plate for added strength and durability. It retains the anti-shutter valve and comes with a dedicated bracket for mounting the engine cover, thereby maintaining an OEM-style appearance under the bonnet.
What’s Included in the EGR Valve & Cooler Kit:
-
EGR Bypass (high-grade aluminum with anti-shutter valve retention and engine cover bracket)
-
Exhaust Manifold Blank (conical seal design)
-
Water Stop Blanks – 1 silicone cap, 1 quick-connect plug

Optional Installation Upgrade:
Alongside our EGR kit, we also recommend adding our upgraded O-Ring for vehicles that have or have had a DPF fitted. This seal is used on the intake/EGR pipe connection where the EGR system joins the inlet tract, forming an airtight seal between these components once the assembly is removed or refitted.
We class this as an upgraded replacement as it is a fresh, high-quality seal compared to the original factory O-ring, which is often heat-cycled, flattened, and hardened over time—particularly on higher-load DPF-equipped engines. While the OEM seal is adequate when new, age and prolonged exposure to heat and pressure can reduce its sealing performance. Replacing it during installation helps ensure a reliable, leak-free fit on reassembly and reduces the risk of air leaks once the kit is fitted.
